Planking (even at a gas station!) has become a great fashion amongst the youngsters and even the elders.

Now you get to see about anyone shamelessly planking anywhere. Even at your local gas station. It seems that a lot of energy is spent in this industry!
For those who don’t know what planking is, here is a short definition from Wikipedia:
“Planking” (or the “Lying Down Game“) is an activity consisting of lying face down in an unusual or incongruous location. The hands must touch the sides of the body and having a photograph of the participant taken and posted on the Internet is an integral part of the game. Players compete to find the most unusual and original location in which to play. The term planking refers to mimicking a wooden plank. Rigidity of the body must be maintained to constitute good planking.

The other day I stopped to take some gas at my usual gas station, and what do i see there? This couple, taking planking pictures, right in front of my gas buddy! He was looking at them in awe, wondering what the hell they could be doing. Once the couple was done with their planking pictures, I felt I should explain about this phenomenon to my gas buddy before he gets a heart attack and dies of planking death! Well he was not far from a planking death state anyway! You should have seen his face!
After drawing him the whole planking picture and what it is about, my gas buddy had a very interesting question: can people really plank anywhere? Like nobody is stopping them, or asking them what they do? Well it seems not. Actually most of the planking i saw (including the one at the gas station) happened very naturally. Normal people have normal life, and suddenly they plank (and take pictures of it), and then resume a normal life like nothing happened.
As for the witnesses of the planking, either they are aware of what it is and tend to just watch and estimate the quality of the planking. Or they don’t know about it, but don’t seem to interfere in any way with the plankers.
So tell me what you think about planking. Have you ever tried it? Are you willing to try?
